Welcome to Little Acorns Wrap Around Care at The Links Primary School. My name is Sally Ann Ritchie and I have run Little Acorns for the past two years.
Our doors open at 7:30am and we offer cereal or toast for breakfast. Games, toys, story time are enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere before school.
The children are accompanied to their classrooms and signed over to their teachers for 8:45am. At 3:15pm we collect the children from their classrooms and head over to our ‘happy place’ Little Acorns.
There, the children enjoy a snack (pasta, wraps, crumpets, soup, crackers, pizza, beans or spaghetti on toast, biscuits, yoghurts and fruit). The children have free choice of a wide variety of games, toys, books, films, Wii, Playstation, crafting, role-play, dressing up, drawing and painting. We encourage outdoor play as much as possible. The children particularly love the mud kitchen and digging, den building and bug hunting.We have a variety of bikes and scooters, a climbing frame and sandpit and lots of outdoor toys.
Little Acorns is a fun, relaxed and happy place for the children to enjoy before and after school. Visits can be arranged for
parents and children wishing to attend the club.
