Welcome to The Links Primary School
We are delighted that your child is due to start school with us in September 2020.
Normally at this time we would be inviting you to attend a welcome meeting at school to find out all about your child’s start in Reception. Unfortunately due to current circumstances we are unable to do this. If and when we are able to, we will organise this meeting. We also hope to be able to organise transition days, including trying out lunch, before your child starts Reception. We will let you know as soon as we are able to do this.
If you wish to get organised early, our uniform is available from Motif8 and Elizabeth’s Embroidery. Children will need a school jumper or cardigan, white polo shirt, grey trousers or skirt and black school shoes. Reception children are not required to wear a school tie. They will also need a suitable school bag. For PE, children will need a white t-shirt, navy shorts and PE shoes with velcro. They will also need a named PE bag. Everything needs your child’s name on please!
We have included sheets which show some of the things the children will be learning in Reception such as sounds, tricky words and letter formation. There are also some links to website below which you may find useful when helping to prepare your child for Reception.
